PC Technician

DescriptionA PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues is wanted for a client at Robert Half. If you are self-motivated, a problem solver, and interested in a positive, dynamic environment, you could thrive in this role. The long-term contract / temporary to hire PC Technician will work in the Raleigh, North Carolina, area. Your Responsibilities - Image and prepare new computers- Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards- Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware- Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix- Own and complete technology implementation projects- Install printers, troubleshoot problems and make repairs- Retain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and solutions or installations- Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases- Provide support for functionality testing and end users- Take down, box, move and set up/install on site- Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis- Take down, box and ship out of date equipmentREQUIREMENTS- 1 to 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WA- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks- Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets- Strong problem-solving skills- Command of MS Windows 10- Solid understanding of Comptia- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds- Well versed in network design and implementation strategies- CompTIA A+ certification required
