Position: Lead, UX Designer (Remote Opportunity)Summary:The Lead UX Designer will create and deliver the exceptional and thoughtful design of digital products taken from research to prototype. The UX Designer will work as part of Quest’s Strategy and Digital Transformation team and with others across Digital Product Management and Experience Design to identify design problems, devise elegant solutions, inform strategic design and user experience decisions, and rapidly test and iterate designs for clients. The role is responsible for designing digital interactions across user journeys and use an iterative process to refine, prototype, test, and communicate solutions. The Lead UX Designer will design great user experiences for Quest. The UX Designer will have a deep understanding of human-centered design and an endless desire to create best-in-class experiences that meet or surpass user needs and expectations.Duties and Responsibilities:-Collaborate with product management, business, marketing, engineering, and other designers to define and implement pragmatic solutions for Quest’s digital product experiences.-Identify and drive user research opportunities to help inform and validate design decisions.-Create low-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, flow diagrams, etc. that help to communicate and gain alignment on proposed solutions.-Provide the user centered perspective and requirements during Epic and Feature definition.-Present and defend concepts to peers and executive level stakeholders to gain alignment and set a path forward.-Assist UX Researchers in conducting product evaluations and collecting user feedback for incorporation into further iterations of your design.-Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards through the implementation and maintenance of Quest’s design system.-Advocate and evangelize for design thinking and user-centered design.-Collaborate with UI designers in the creation of High-fidelity prototypes.-Begin to recognize patterns or opportunities within the product and communicate those with your product team-Develop the process/approach for attacking a design problem, using known methods, and anticipating problems.-Be able to think strategically across products and experiences. Identify new opportunities based on customer needs that support the business objectives.-Anticipate and recognize technical or product constraints that will negatively impact the user experience and facilitate alignment sessions with the product team.-Conduct competitive research and create summarized findings with recommendations.-On large-scale projects, define the end-to-end experience and coordinate with other designers to ensure dependencies are understood and we deliver a world-class product.-Lead discussions/workshops with business, marketing, and product stakeholders to define strategic goals and how to achieve them iteratively.-Can easily recognize patterns or strategic opportunities across products and experiences and take ownership to drive it forward with product owners.-Guide and advise external vendors & agencies on our UX practices and standards.-Expertly plan, drive, and facilitate workshops when necessary. Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communications, web design, Design Thinking, Design Strategy, or related field. Work Experience:-5 - 8 years of relevant experience in design of digital product experiences using dedicated design tools (Figma preferred)-Demonstratable experience of utilizing user research to inform and/or validate design decisions.-Experience creating user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, personas, low-fidelity wireframes and/or prototypes.-Experience conducting competitive analysis and other relevant researchPreferred Work Experience:  Experience working within a SAFe Agile methodology is preferred.Competencies:-Primary expertise in the set of skills at the core of UX design work, complemented by an understanding of user research and visual design: UX design: Wireframes, Information Architecture, Usability, Design Documentation -Proficiency in driving product design and development with a user-centric lens-Expertise in wire framing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InDesign, InVision or similar -Proficient in underlying interactive technologies, such as web and mobile-An expert storyteller who creates compelling presentations for business partners and senior leaders.-Communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders clearly and confidently-Communicate with other disciplines in their language, designing with consideration for their cares and concerns. -Can take a leadership role in cross-discipline meetings, bringing a design voice to the conversation and building trust between the design team and other disciplines-Comfortably understands the landscape of a product and can provide clear UX guidance to best meet the customer needs-Expert in proposing solutions and compromises that balance business goals, technology, and user experience.-Able to recognize when a team is struggling and can lead the group through their roadblocks using visual thinking and other techniques.-Can articulate the value of taking a customer-first approach to stakeholders and steer the team in that direction-Become an expert in one or more areas within UX; shares expertise with the internal team
