    Qualifications:

    Responsibilities:

    Who are we?

    The Cook is tasked with ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, preparing food and sauces, and assisting head chefs with service. They also need passion and enthusiasm for the quality and presentation of food on every plate served.

    Who are we?

    BASIC FUNCTIONS: Maintain a commitment for guest service with focus on the highest quality food and consistency.

    What you will have an opportunity to do:

    The Quadrangle Club is the faculty and social club of the University of Chicago. Established in 1893, the Quadrangle Club has played and continues to be an important role in the intellectual fabric and life of the University of Chicago. Over the decades, the Club has been a place where Nobel laureates, faculty and numerous other scholars have hosted discussions about topics and ideas that have shaped the world. The Club is housed in a historic facility designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw.

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
    • Two years fine dining experience

    • Culinary school or related experience preferred

    • Valid food handler certificate

    • Knowledge of soups, sauces, and cooking techniques

    • Advanced knife skills

    • Origination and production knowledge

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Responsible for food requisition storage and product rotation.
    • Prepare items designated by the Chef according to The Club's standard recipes and policies.
    • Receiving food requisitions, check food products for quality and quantity.
    • Inform the Executive Chef or Sous Chef regarding proper preparation and the food requisitioning for upcoming functions.
    • Responsible for the care and cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
    • Inspect all refrigerated goods and dry storage for proper handling and rotation.
    • Ensure that banquet functions are properly broken down and reusable items are returned to the main kitchen and put on cafeteria shelf.
    • Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
    • Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
    • Knowledge of kitchens and storage areas.
    • Knowledge of use, cleaning, and safe handling and breakdown of all equipment.

    Who are we?

    The Workplace Hospitality Coordinator will be the main contact for hospitality services for Executive Assistants as well as their guests. They'll provide a host of functions to ensure the employees day runs smoothly.

    What you will have an opportunity to do:

    BASIC FUNCTION : A Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations, sets, and movement of the overall logistics of their assigned space/floor for office/desk and meeting spaces. They manage the day-to-day floor execution of in-house meeting programs by ensuring events materialize 100% accurately as specified through the program agenda and BEO's, along with coordinating change management. They provide all guests request and business service support; office supplies, printing/copying, shipping, etc. in a professional and timely manner. They provide in-person assistance as well as over the phone. This position is the go-to liaison for the Executive Assistants.

    WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, hours may vary between 7am - 6pm.

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years experience in general office experience
    • Excellent computer software knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, reservation software, and work ticketing systems.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organization skills; previous guest services experience and interpersonal skills; familiarity with basic office equipment, including fax and copy machines
    • Strong relationship skills and people building

    • Superior Multitasking abilities and Motivated to problem solve

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Oversight & assistance in creating memorable guest experiences, as well as, anticipating guest and facilitator needs through event pre-walks and room checks

    • Acts as liaison between group contact and event planner

    • Provide Room and AV orientations as needed

    • Assist with movement and placement (delivery) of program materials, including pre- and post-event prepping, shipping and storing, as assigned

    • Assist with technical and logistical opportunities that arise in meeting rooms for both instructors and attendees, as assigned

    • Confirm break, meal, receptions, and special event timing, as needed

    • Daily communication with AV, Virtual Planner, Sr. Community Manager

    • Walk your space throughout the day, interact with employees, gather their feedback, and assist with needs. Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly space usage and occupancy.

    • Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with all operating departments acting as a resource.

    • Follow up with all change requests to ensure accuracy and operational communication

    • Be knowledgeable in simple A/V and IT functions to assist Verizon associates

    • Fulfill and support guest needs throughout the day. Services include but are not limited to copying, typing, physical and digital signage, nametags escort from building to building etc.

    • Provide information to guests relative to meeting services and office/desk assignments

    • Review and manage daily office/desk space reservations and logistics

    • Ensure daily that meeting, office/desk spaces are cleaned and ready prior to guest arrivals

    • Send and deliver guest faxes/messages when appropriate

    • Report all maintenance defects via work ticket

    • Maintain par office supplies and monthly inventory

    • Build and maintain a good relationship with Verizon associates and their partners

    • Greet and assist guests with check in process

    • Maintain cleanliness of all assigned space and working area

    • Review distribution of in-house reports to ensure consistency and completeness of information

    • Report I.T defects in the Verizon At Your Service system

    • Maintain par office supplies and monthly inventory

    • Build and maintain a good relationship with Verizon associates and their partners

    • Attend weekly designated meetings

    • Follow grooming standards maintaining a professional image in dress and mannerisms

    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other job functions as necessary to ensure property and company goals and guest expectations are exceeded.

    Who are we?

    We are seeking Cosmetologists/Nail Technicians to join our busy spa. Perform hair cutting, styling, chemical treatments (colors and perms) and scalp treatments on guests. Perform manicures and pedicures on guests, as well.

    Who are we?

    This position contributes to Hotel Valley Ho's success by providing guests with high quality, consistent liquor product, served in a personable, courteous and professional manner.     JOB REQUIREMENTS

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

    • Strong working knowledge of micros ordering system and other check processing procedures.
    • Ability to lift and quickly transport heavy trays up to 75 lbs. on slippery surfaces.
    • Must be able to carry cocktail tray with one hand and distribute cocktails with the second hand -- cocktail tray could weigh up to 30 lbs.
    • Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly.
    • Self-motivated, organized, fast and even-tempered.
