Mecatherm Technician

Mecatherm Technician position available for a crucial role within the maintenance operations of a high-capacity industry bakery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of the Mecatherm machinery and the overall facility.

This role demands a high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and adept problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative, and effectively managing workload priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute various maintenance tasks, including Corrective/Preventative/Production Support/Calibrations/Electrical work, adhering to site GMP (good manufacturing practices) and safety standards
• Perform mechanical fitting tasks, focusing on the maintenance and repair of Mecatherm bakery equipment to minimize downtime and production losses
• Undertake electrical and instrument craft responsibilities, including the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting electrical control systems
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all maintenance work
• Adhere to GMP requirements and uphold a clean and tidy working environment in alignment with site safety and quality excellence principles
• Ensure safe working conditions
• Participate in, lead, and contribute to new technology projects and future plans
• Engage with site maintenance, training, safety, quality, and learning systems

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in the food/beverage industry
• Working knowledge of Mecatherm bakery machines
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Flexible approach to working hours, including shift work, overtime, and on-call duties
• Excellent command of English, including technical language
