What To ExpectThe Low Voltage Hardware team designs the electrical “nervous system” of Tesla products. Our circuit boards control hundreds of devices (motors, sensors, LEDs, etc) across all electrical systems (seats, doors, HVAC, powertrain, safety, chassis, lighting, etc) in Tesla vehicles & robots.What You'll DoStart-to-finish hardware ownership: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, manufacturing, bringup, and validation of circuit boardsCollaborate with PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, program management, and validation teamsThoroughly document design requirements, calculations, validation results, etcRapidly iterate as design requirements and vehicle features mature over timeWhat You'll BringCircuit board design (Altium preferred)Strong understanding of analog & digital circuits (MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, microcontrollers, SPI, I2C, component selection, power dissipation, etc)Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to tackle open-ended challenges using f irst-principlesProficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, etc)Preferred skills: Experience shipping high-volume circuit boards; Basic programming ability (Python preferred); Knowledge of automotive design requirements; Design for autonomous vehicles (fail-safe redundancy)
