You will be responsible for checking the quality of the books and supporting the year-end closing process. In addition, you will join a young and dynamic team, genuinely passionate about its work, within a leading global professional services firm.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account informationSummarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reportsDocument financial transactions for several legal entitiesReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationSubstantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulationsSupport external statutory and fiscal auditsGuide accounting staff by coordinating activities, providing training, and answering questionsDevelop procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and standardize and/or simplify processes To qualify for the role you must haveYou hold a Bachelor degree in AccountingYou have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting with strong knowledge of BE GAAP and year-end closingYou are fluent in French or Dutch and English as you will be communicating with our shared service center abroadThroughout your career you already gained experience in working with financial software and ExcelYou have are passionate about finance You are able to adapt quickly to changes and can handle multiple priorities concurrentlyYou are analytical, accurate and have strong data-gathering skillsIdeally, you’ll also haveStrong interpersonal skills, which makes you an great communicatorExperience working in a multinational company with people scattered all over the worldOur offerThe Finance team works mainly out of the EY office in Diegem.
