Austin Avenue STE 105, Denison, TexasGeneral Job DescriptionSecures all assigned locations and carries out regular security inspections at specified points and times.Functional RequirementsControls and monitors entry points to assigned locations.Checks and controls the access and departure of Company and Contractors' personnel, to ensure all are covered by valid security passes.Contacts appropriate persons to inform them of official visitors or guest at gatepost.Perform security inspections on vehicles, personnel, toolboxes, lunch boxes, etc. Identify all persons on premises and monitor their safety.Ensure that all Company regulations are being enforced as far as safety is concerned. Notifies supervisor of any violations observed.Controls deliveries of materials into the premises assigned by visually checking drivers' papers at the gate to ensure consignment is for the assigned location and directs driver to the correct location within the plant or to alternative areas.Control access of persons to property during off hours as instructed.Complete daily security report including movement of personnel and materials in and out of the premises.Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.Qualification And StandardsKnowledge of Security procedures / processes.Must be able to pass typing test at 30 w.p.m. or better.Must have knowledge of computer software such as Google Docs, Google, Sheets, G-mail and other various software programs. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.May be required to have a current (or be capable of obtaining) security certifications(s)Pre-employment/post-employment qualification test, if applicable.Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.Turner Industries Group/Job site orientation/Hazard Communication and required tests.Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses - OSHA approved Z87 if applicable, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.).Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.Physical InvolvementEmployee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and machines; lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; bending; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; repeating tasks of short duration; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety and security hazards.Mental InvolvementEmployee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.Work Environment FactorsLocation: pipe fabrication facilityMobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas.Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances.Turner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
