Sous Chef – Italian Restaurant

Salary: $65,000-75,000

Location: New York City

The Company:

We are working with a New York-based hospitality group with multiple European-inspired restaurants across the city. They focus on creating amazing culinary experiences for their guests through neighbourly hospitality. They are looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at their Italian concept and carry out the daily activities of the kitchen. The Sous Chef:

  • You will have good career stability and a passion for food and customer service
  • You will have experience with financial targets, ordering inventory, and you must be able to develop, mentor, and supervise a team
  • You will ensure the kitchen is operating smoothly and support the Executive Chef with the daily operations of the Back of House
  • You will work alongside the Executive Chef to develop and prepare the menus
  • You are a well-rounded and motivated culinary professional who can support and inspire the team around you
  • You must be able to lead others and hold your own in a fast-paced environment, all while having a positive and humble personality
  • You will ensure all food preparation is carried out according to the recipes and in accordance with health standards
