JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing sterilization-engineering support to Medline Industries worldwide operations. This role will assist/direct the design, installation, commissioning and start-up of facility sterilization process, abatement equipment [EO, Radiation], where needed, and ancillary supporting systems. Focusing on aesthetics, UI and function, you will collaborate with industrial designers to make and iterate prototypes. Other responsibilities include:Identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost reductionCreate 3D models of new mechanical components and assembliesComplete mechanical engineering analyses of components and assemblies: FEA, Tolerance Analysis, DFM, FMEALearn/develop your skills in Finite Element Analysis to use on complex assemblies and to examine loading conditionsSource prototype components using 3D printers, our in-house machine shop and/or external vendorsUse visual renderings, rapid prototypes and machined parts to converge and define product architecture and specs across team members from various disciplinesRapidly iterate through the design process to arrive at solutions that meets cost, quality and delivery objectivesSource and quality production toolingTroubleshoot customer and manufacturing issuesDesign and develop injection molded plastic parts including design in Creo, detailed tolerance analysis, finite element analysis in ANSYS and conduct reviews with mold companies What you need for this Position:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related with a GPA of 3.0+At least 3 years of mechanical design experience in industryThorough knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentalsProficiency with 3D CAD SoftwareHands on experience with parts manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding and sheet metal fabrication We'd be really excited if you have one or more of the following:Pro-EFEAAdvanced DegreeHeat Transfer Principles What's in it for you: In addition to a competitive salary ($90 - $120K) and full benefits, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact developing products used in homes and businesses worldwide.
