Performs a variety of clinical duties which promote a safe and organized environment for the delivery of services to children and their families within the urgent care setting. This position reports to an Urgent Care supervisor.Minimum Job RequirementsLicensure, Registration and/or CertificationA license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.EducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse.ExperienceTwo years’ experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred.Experience with pediatric patients preferred.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesExhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.Ability to work with a diverse patient population to promote a culturally competent environment.Travel to all Urgent Care locations required.Ability to work daytime, evenings, weekend, and holiday hours.Electronic Health Record proficiency preferred.Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills necessary to work independently in a fast paced multi-functioned department.Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to assist patients, parents, and providers, and other staff.Analytical skills are necessary to assess complex patient conditions effectively.
