Job SummaryAn exciting role has arisen in the Wellness at Jumeirah for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main duties of the role are:To ensure that all water areas are protected during operational hours by practicing preventative lifeguarding in accordance with the Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training ProgramUnderstand and follow all Jumeirah Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Action PlansPerform water rescues, First Aid, and CPR when neededEnforce facility rules and provide crowd control in a friendly manner throughout the aquatic areas as necessaryExude a friendly, helpful and cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with guests and colleaguesProvide professional lifeguarding services at any Jumeirah property and exclusive use event when needed, and assist in the preparations of facilities for special functions, themed evenings, etc.Clean all areas of the pools and walkways, both in and above the water, including all pool furniture and pathsReport any safety concerns to managementQualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.Shallow Facilities LifeguardAble to swim 50 meters non stopAble to swim a distance of 3 meters underwaterSpecial Facilities LifeguardAble to swim 200 meters in less than 4 minutes 30 secondsAble to retrieve a brick from a depth of 3 metersAble to tread water with their hands above the water line for 2 minutes and hands under the water for 3 minutesBeach LifeguardAble to perform all Special Facilities Lifeguard requirements.Able to swim 400 meters in less than 8 minutesCompleted the Open Water Beach Lifeguard CourseAbout The BenefitsThis position offers a highly competitive salary and package which includes shared accommodation, free transport to and from your place of work, uniform, laundry services, meals during working hours, flight allowance every 2 years, medical coverage, life and accident insurance, retail and leisure discounts, 50% discount off Jumeirah F&B Outlets and reduced hotel rates.
