Laboratory Technician

Large International production company looking for a qualified Lab Technician. The right candidate is a team player, motivated, flexible and reliable. Pay rate $18 per hour 

Daily Activities

• Prepare the lab in the morning for daily functions
• Calibrate and verify laboratory tools and equipment
• Perform daily tests and record results
• Enter data into the computer
• Maintain the sanitation & organization of the lab

Minimum Required Experience

• A Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following fields: Biology, Aquaculture, Natural Resources, or related (Would consider an Associate Degree for the right candidate)
• Experience in a laboratory using pipettes, handling chemicals, wearing PPE, good hygiene practices, sanitizing procedures, and staying organized.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Interested in brine shrimp and/or the aquaculture industry
• Ability to work 8 hour shift walking and/or standing entire shift
• Self-Reliant and a team player
• Accurate, flexible and reliable
• Interested in aquaculture
