Position: Medical Receptionist

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: M-F 8 am to 5 pm


Start: ASAP

Job Details

Front Office Duties:

  • Check patients in/out
  • Collect copays/balances
  • Verify insurance
  • Scan photo ID, insurance cards and other patient paperwork into EMR
  • Check/update demographic information
  • Eclinicalworks experience is a plus!
  • Schedule follow up appointments are directed by provider
  • Print lab orders/results from EMR if needed
  • Keeps track of inventory of items needed for front desk and request order when necessary
  • Keep front office organized and clean at all times!
  • Be respectful to all patients
  • Must be able to work in a busy, fast-moving office setting
  • Works well with others (teamwork!)

Administrative Duties:

  • Check all payments collected from front desk on a daily basis and complete a daily balance report
  • Distributes vaccines to medical assistants as needed
  • Orders vaccines from vendors
  • Calls/emails IT services when doctors or staff informs of any IT issue
  • Calls/submits case to Eclinicalworks when there is an issue with EMR
  • Calls building management if there are any building/office issues or outages
  • Submits ticket on building portal for any maintenance issues

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year minimum of medical receptionist experience
  • Excellent customer service, organization, and follow-through skills in order to enhance interactions with providers, operational teams and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and applications
  • Ability to excel at details, multi-task, and work with a high sense of urgency
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team, team builder
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of office equipment (FAX, copier, printer, etc.)
