Job Description
As a Senior Windows Engineer, you'll manage and secure on premise IT infrastructure, focusing on Windows, Citrix, Oracle, and automation.
As a Senior Windows Engineer, you will manage and support the IT infrastructure and services for Belgium and Luxembourg in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment. You will ensure that systems run smoothly and securely, proactively monitoring every part of the infrastructure, from the network to the application servers.
Role
- Provide all-round IT support, including monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting for Citrix environments
- Manage and support on-premises infrastructure with a strong focus on Oracle applications.
- Administer and maintain local networks, including Palo Alto and Cisco (switches, access points, and server systems).
- Configure and maintain Windows environments, virtual machines (VMs), and Terraform deployments.
- Automate infrastructure processes using Docker, with a future goal of integrating Kubernetes.
- Ensure backup and restore procedures are properly implemented, tested, and optimized.
- Keep infrastructure topology documentation (systems, network, storage) up to date.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot software packages, Windows systems, applications (Oracle, SQL, Linux machines), and VPN connections.
- Maintain security and vulnerability management, ensuring all assets are protected and updated.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, assisting other IT teams in resolving issues and identifying root causes.
Profile
- Experience with Citrix and VMware is mandatory
- Strong networking expertise, including switching and routing protocols (CCNA level) and firewall management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, as well as scripting languages (Windows Server 2012-2019, Windows 10, RedHat or CentOS, PowerShell, Perl, Python, *sh, etc.).
- Experience with automation software, virtualization (VMware), backup solutions (Veeam Backup), storage management (NetApp), and Cisco UCS blade server management.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure) and Kubernetes.
- In-depth understanding of Active Directory and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks, or IEC 62433 is an asset.
- You have a holistic approach to projects and maintain a helicopter view of the infrastructure.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders (internal, external, and across teams).
