Job Summary:
Trileaf is seeking a full-time, Project Scientist with at least 2 / 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be in our Phoenix, AZ office.
Essential Job Functions:
- Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3-4 days per week)
- Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
- Ordering & analyzing government database records
- Performing regulatory agency file reviews
- Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
- Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources
- Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
- Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
- Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
- Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Licensed Asbestos Inspector
- Management
- Mold assessment experience
- Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
- Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
- Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
- Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
- Environmental Professional (EP)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
