Interim Project Controls Engineer

Capstone are working closely with a global multi-disciplinary consultancy who are in turn providing services for blue chip clients. This role is essentially working within the property department of this global datacentre business.The PCE works closely with Project Leads, Project Managers, Cost Managers and the wider team to ensure the reporting process and outputs are produced on time, robust, accurate and are of high quality. Landscaping Engineer

Job DescriptionThe Landscaping Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and upkeep of landscaping across the company’s residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This role ensures that all outdoor spaces reflect Alef Group’s premium standards in design, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. The engineer will play a vital role within the Facilities Management team by delivering innovative and cost-effective landscaping solutions that enhance the visual appeal, functionality, and long-term value of Alef Group's property portfolio.Key Accountabilities: -Develop, review, and recommend landscape design proposals, planting layouts, and aesthetic enhancements aligned with project objectives.Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and cost estimates related to landscaping works.Supervise and inspect on-site implementation of landscaping, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and landscape lighting systems.Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of landscape-related activities.Ensure landscape work complies with local municipal regulations, environmental sustainability standards, and organizational policies.Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess workmanship, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.Recommend plant species and materials suitable for Sharjah’s climate and project-specific goals.Provide technical input and design validation for manual and automated irrigation systems.Support documentation processes including progress reports, maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.Liaise with Sharjah Municipality and other regulatory authorities for permit acquisition and compliance approvals.Educational Qualification & Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.LEED Green Associate or equivalent sustainability certification preferred.Certification in irrigation system design (e.g., IA Certified Irrigation Designer) is an added advantage.Work Experience:3 to 5 years of relevant landscaping experience within the UAE, ideally in a real estate development or large-scale construction environment.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and specialized landscape design tools.SkillsSkills required:In-depth knowledge of horticulture, soil science, and plant species suitable for UAE conditions.Strong understanding of irrigation techniques, water conservation, and efficient system design.Excellent coordination, communication, and project management abilities.Willingness to work in both office and field environments as required by project needs.
