Other duties may be assigned.Research current fashion trends and determine what consumers will likeCollaborate with the design team to develop ideas for new products based on research dataDesign sketches for new products with a design teamCreating clothing patterns for mass productionOverseeing the production of designs, including carrying out fittings, determining prices and managing marketingCreate detailed techpacks for each design for factory submissionHire and train new employeesMaintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers and modelsPerform other duties and projects as assignedRequired Competencies:To successfully fulfill all duties and responsibilities, we require the following competencies:Ability to work quickly, prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects at onceIn-depth knowledge of garment technologyProficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization toolsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSuperior knowledge of fashion design principlesExcellent attention to detailExcellent creativity with a good sense of fashion and style
