From concept development to finished goods, Makersland has been offering new products to mass retailers around the world for over 18 years.Position, Senior DesignerSeeking an experienced designer with 5+ years’ experience working within the home-décor industry. Candidate must have strong graphic design skills and experience in Home Décor (accessories, tabletop, wall décor, storage, decorative). Experience within the mass retail market is required.What You’ll Be Responsible forResearching and developing seasonal trends, themes, concepts, color direction, material, fabrications and styling.Creating new products for mass market customers. Duties will include trend spotting and development; product design and renderings; technical packs and customer presentations for any given home décor category.Researching and developing seasonal trends, themes, concepts, color direction, material, fabrications and styling.Working with the Product Development Manager to implement line building as it aligns with departmental goals and vision.Delivering effective, cohesive product presentations for internal customers.Daily/Weekly communication with PD Director on goals, timelines, and deliverables progress.What You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience in consumer productsPortfolio showcasing creative and innovative design work in categories relevant to the positionProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.Excellent understanding of color theory, typography, and layout design.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Location: Open to remote candidates who reside within USA only.If you are interested, submit your resume along with a portfolio showcasing work that is relevant to this position.**Submissions without portfolio will not be considered**Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year + BenefitsExpected hours: 20 – 30 per week
