Oracle Programmer

Job Description

United Beverage company in Kuwait is seeking a skilled Oracle Programmer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-5 years of experience in Oracle programming and a strong understanding of database systems. This is a full-time position based in Kuwait City.

Responsibilities:

1. Database Development: Develop and optimize database structures, stored procedures, and functions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
2. Application Development: Design and implement back-end components of applications, integrating with Oracle databases.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data requirements from business processes and ensure the database architecture meets these needs. Create complex reports using SQL queries and reporting tools.
4. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of the database systems and applications. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions in database environments.
5. Database Security: Implement and maintain security policies for the Oracle database systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for authorized users only.
6. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for database issues; diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner. Assist in critical recovery efforts and procedural documentation.
7. Collaboration: Work with IT team members, including network engineers, system administrators, and software developers, to coordinate and integrate system operations and enhancements.
8. Training and Consultation: Offer technical expertise and guidance to other team members. Train end-users on the use of Oracle applications as necessary.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in Oracle programming, including PL/SQL development.
3. Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts, architecture, and best practices.
4. Experience with Oracle development tools such as SQL Developer and Oracle Forms.
5. Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
6. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex database issues.
7. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
10. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
