With an expert team and variable cost structure, we increase the probability of success while building valuable, sustainable, and marketable professional services firms.The Launch Box is seeking driven, process-minded Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Guadalajara or or Remote in Mexico. This role will be responsible for owning financial processes, finding efficiencies and being the financial operations lead for all of The Launch Box's portfolio companies. This role will also assist with and spearhead additional system implementations and act as intermediary between Finance and data engineering resources. Day-to-day financial operations include ensuring proper revenue recognition and invoicing according to U.S. GAAP principles through development of automated processes and assisting the Business Intelligence leads with producing accurate and maintained dashboards. This role will be expected to perform financial analysis at the highest level.Main ResponsibilitiesManage project controlling processes including but not limited to project finance lifecycle, ASC606 revenue recognition, invoicing automation and efficiencies, and acting as primary point of contact for portfolio companies regarding project financials.Assist with and in time, spearhead system implementations and integrations to ensure efficient, automated, financial reporting ecosystem.Provide support to Controller for timely month-end financial statement reporting.Produce or assist with and develop efficiencies for weekly and monthly reporting packages including financial statements, weekly performance reports, and monthly financial reviews.Partner with The Launch Box and portfolio company management to understand financial operations and reporting and provide strategic support based on historical and forward-looking financial metrics.Assist with financial forecasts and modeling with FP&A leads, ensuring data integrity of forecast drivers to produce accurate rolling forecasts.Gather requirements for BI dashboards and when necessary or desired, assist with implementation and maintenance of dashboard packages.Requirements And SkillsThe successful candidate will have relevant Finance/FP&A experience in companies of similar size or larger (100+ employees) based in the USA. The candidate should be able to demonstrate competencies in operational finance, financial and business acumen, problem solving, and dealing with ambiguity. The candidate should have strong communication skills and comfort around higher management in addition to effectively leading others. The candidate should be responsive, highly organized, detail oriented, and possess strong technical skills in finance, business processes, financial management systems, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of accounting experience or a significant courseload of accounting taken during university studies. Experience working with management in the US preferred or ability to self-start and manage expectations with a US-based team.ExperienceMinimum of 2-3 years of relevant Financial Analyst experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Economics, etc)Excellent written and spoken EnglishAbility to fully own financial analysis and reporting processes and toolsStrong Excel skills requiredincluding use of advanced formulas and preferably PowerQuery Experience with enterprise-level accounting and financial management tools preferred Understanding of or willingness to learn SQL as well as understanding of fundamental relational database structures and conceptsSeeking an individual who can grow into Lead or Manager role in short order and own full segments of The Launch Box's financial analysis and reporting expectationsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job.
