This role is responsible for new product development from concept to commercialization by overseeing details from creation of functional specifications through detailed design and field testing. Under minimal supervision, develop the next generation surface and downhole equipment control solutions.Required QualificationsCompletion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.Experience with PLC module selection based on system requirements and needsWorking knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-1500 family of modulesExperience with Siemens TIA PortalExperience writing code in Ladder, SCL, FBD, and GraphExperience with sizing cables, circuit breakers, and fusesExperience working with engineers of other disciplines (such as mechanical engineers) to document processes that a PLC and/or HMI must performExperience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical panelsExperience contributing and/or leading Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)Detail oriented and strong communication skillsPlusCompletion of a masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.Experience working on SIL rated systemsSiemens Certified Programmer in TIA PortalSiemens Certified Automation Engineer for SIMATIC SafetyResponsabilitiesUnder general supervision, acts as a technical lead on projects, as required, by establishing development plans and approving design documents. Evaluates project risks and provides input to project leads to develop mitigation strategies. Uses engineering tools, test specifications and assessment of Health, Safety and Environment requirements during the design process. Uses software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict reliability and performance. Contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions. Creates an impactful relationship with Halliburton’s technical community, customers, and vendors by proactively collaborating with key stakeholders.
