Videogame Tester

The Software Quality Assurance Tester is an entry-level position and is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a taste of what it's like to work in a game studio. At Visual Purple, the Quality Assurance Tester will be expected to perform QA on a multitude of projects in varying degrees of completion.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, have good critical thinking skills, and possess a high level of proficiency in the English Language. Expert grammar, spelling, communication, and the ability to identify and replicate found issues are mandatory skills for this position.

Position Responsibilities

- Will work with managers and team leads to help drive the completion of projects.

- Able to keep meticulous notes across multiple projects.

- Aid in the creation of testing standards and test cases.

- Able to work in a collaborative team environment.

- Maintain consistent tracking of issues throughout the production pipeline and every step of the iterative process.

Position Requirements

- Expert understanding of the English language and spelling.

- High attention to detail with strong communication skills; both written and spoken.

- Must be available to work on-sit in our Boise, Idaho office.

- Proficient in the use of Windows, MS Office, and G-Suite.

- ClickUp experience a plus.

- Experience with Source control such as Git or Perforce a plus.

Position Preferences:

- Passionate gamer with a drive to take part in creating high quality gaming content.

- Desire to work in the games industry.

- Have an Associates or be attending college studying in a game development related field degree.

Position Type:

Full Time – on-site, T-F 8 am - 7 pm, 10-hour work days.

Must be able to work in Meridian, Idaho, and currently living in the greater Greater Idaho metropolitan area.
