Position Overview & Responsibilities


A Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of a restaurant. Kitchen managers hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, kitchen managers ensure that the companies standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly.

Position Requirements


  • 3 years minimum experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager, in high volume, in upscale polished casual or fine dining
  • Ability's to manage kitchen operations (Food Cost, Efficiencies)
  • Experience in preparing fresh, made-from-scratch menu items
  • Experience with inventory, ordering and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Passion for service and uncompromising desire to serve the highest quality food
  • A degree in a culinary discipline required unless experience is substantial enough to replace the degree
