Salary: $40K to $50K USD + accommodation + medical + bonus + gratuity

Location: Caribbean, Multiple locations

Our client is an award-winning luxury hotel group based in the Caribbean. We are assisting them in their search for a Chef de Cuisine to work at one of their beautiful properties!

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an internationally recognized culinary institution or equivalent/technical training/school and have 5 years experience as Chef de Cuisine in an international first-class hotel/resort.

Specific Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Experience in a hotel with large number of rooms
• Demonstrated knowledge of sauce preparation, soups, butchering, Garde Manger and all culinary operations
• Experience in buffet decorating
• Basic knowledge of specialties such as pastry work and ice carving is desirable and very essential
• Knowledge of volume production and ability to maintain the highest quality standards
• Strong hands-on knowledge of various international cuisines obtained in first class hotels/resorts
• Proven management abilities in, and demonstrated knowledge of,:
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Departmental profit/loss analysis
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
