Sodexo Leisure has an exciting Executive Chef 2 opportunity available at the Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA. This beautiful venue includes cafe style dining and high end, high volume catering operations.
The ideal Executive Chef candidate will have experience managing the culinary operations of a full service restaurant and/or catering venue of at least $2 million annual F&B revenues.
- knowledge and passionate about sustainable practices;
- knowledge of HACCP, sustainability, purchasing & inventory controls;
- responsible for hiring, training & developing culinary team;
- knowledge of sustainable cooking practices & local product sourcing; and/or
- experience in creating & costing menus including specialty menus for catered events.

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement -Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
