Responsibilities & Experience:

The position requires a deep understanding of soil and rock mechanics in order to assess risks posed by site conditions. Knowledge of the relevant physical/mechanical and chemical properties of these materials is essential. Knowledge of construction industry codes desirable. Candidates should have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere. Candidates need to have quality experience writing proposals and reports.

What you need to be successful:

Familiarity with the Greater Kansas City area’s geology, industry and construction practices

Currently licensed Professional Engineer or EIT

3 to 5 years of experience as a Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Engineering

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
