Production Planner – Tarragona

Job Position: Producction Planner

Location: Tarragona

• The production planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate the MRP reports on a daily basis.
• Quickly identify planning constraints, initiate the corrective actions and communicate them to relevant persons.
• Communicate changed delivery dates to Customer Service.
• Set up the capacity requirements based on available orders/forecast and communicate/discuss with Operations team.
• Monitor and analyze the stock of Finished Product in order to minimize the Finished Stock exposure for GL.
• Be involved in innovation projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to Planning.

Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economics or equivalent experience in a planning, procurement or logistics role (minimum 3 years’ experience).
• Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (current system is BaaN, soon will be Microsoft Dynamics).
• Professional level of use of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Solid experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Business, by preference being exposed to perishable products before.
• APICS certification is an asset
• Strong communication skills and analytical mind.
• Fluent in Spanish and English
