Are you someone who people naturally gravitate towards? We're looking for a "new-school" Executive Chef who knows how to run a modern kitchen, motivating & mentoring teams in a way that is empowering and encourages professional development. This location is on the more remote side, so we need someone who comes armed with a certain resiliency and tenacity, who won't give up when crunch time starts. If you come armed with key team members who will relocate with you, all the better!
The ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge Pacific North West cuisine, drawing inspiration from the rugged rainforest of BC's coast and pulling those flavours into seasonal menus designed to take the taste buds on a journey. We need someone who isn't afraid to try new things and can adapt a menu as the seasons and local offerings shift. A background in a luxury hotel or resort setting would be an asset, but not essential.
