C Software Developer

APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO COLORADO SPRINGS, CURRENTLY REMOTE

This individual will develop and maintain software for the Index Engines’ Linux application that is developed using the Scrum Agile methodology that focuses on delivering quality over schedule and release content. The application is written primarily in C-Language with some Python. This individual will:

• Work as member of a Scrum team
• Work with other Scrum team members on the software design
• Implement and unit test required software
• Work with other Scrum team members to integrate software modules and ensure that system operates per requirements
• Support QA testing
• Attend daily Standup Meetings
• Attend weekly engineering team meetings to report on project status and understand the organization’s goals and priorities

In addition, the individual will support existing software. This would involve fixing issues identified in bug reports what could be originated internally or by customer. This individual will work closely with the Index Engines’ Support Organization to resolve customer issues.

The ideal individual for this job will require minimal supervision and will enjoy working in a challenging and highly collaborative environment. Index Engines has a small, but highly talented, Engineering team that works in a professional environment that provides individuals with flexibility to manage their work and time.

Specific job requirements are:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related filed

• Knowledge of the Linux operating system
• Expert experience with C-Language/System level programming
• Writing scripts in Python (Bash is a bonus)
• Ability to work as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
